Soul Food

When you’re sitting somewhere that can barely be called a home and wondering where your next meal is coming from

You need soul food

When you’re trying to feed a baby’s spirit and see that they just can’t accept it

You need soul food

When the children you raised grow up angry without true knowledge, wisdom and understanding of the world that has been bequeath to them

You need soul food

When you really can’t see the forest because of the trees

You need soul food

When your eyes pierce through the vail of darkness and you see the true light but are blinded by its intensity

You need soul food

When the seeds of the tree of life seem like weeds that you cannot control

You need soul food

When you see the world as you want it to be and not how it is

By G0d’s grace, you need soul food

When you finally realise that the concept of life and death is but a dream created to restrain the power you have inside

You need soul food

When you understand that the tree does make a sound when it falls in the forest whether you are there to see it or not

You have begun to accept the nourishment that you are being fed

Give thanks for the soul food you have been given

and pass it on to other needy souls
