Silent Screams

Scream I

From the depths of darkness swells the screams compressed in time

agonising in silence fearing disclosure by dawns adjudicating glare

So many voices speaking sweet lies in tapered tongues and boasting of deeds yet unseen

I’m gasping in breath that does not ebb while demons doth hold my reason captive

Fate, what is thy name that claims stock and spirit refusing the slightest of mercy?

Surely there stand counsel to argue my cause in this desperate hour

and Divine to mitigate this tormented season

No more, I say! This soul longs free!
