Sullen bells ring to announce the very sad news 
Another “merry Christmas” arrives pronouncing the blues
Excuse me for the careless lack of P.C.
The term is “happy Holiday” as we can clearly see
False greetings, indebtedness and misplaced cheer holds sway
As hypocrisy, insanity and pseudo wishes are the orders of the day
I maintain my disgust and contempt to be true
But I preserve this façade for the children and for you
So with affectation this last line I proclaim throughout town and throughout hall
Merry Christmas to one, Merry Christmas to all!
(Better to be “Real” than “Surreal”!)
